The School of Business and Economics is one of the largest schools in the University with 54 full-time academic staff, over 400 postgraduates, and more than 800 undergraduate.

The school is located on the University's main Streatham Campus, built on a large country estate overlooking Exeter and widely known for its beautiful campus settings in the country.

Professor Paul Draper is the Head Of School, a Professor of Finance, who leads a team of experts in their respective fields, all of whom are actively involved in cutting edge research.

The School has an international reputation for high quality teaching and research excellence which was recognized in the 2001 government review of UK universities. The creation of innovative research of an international standard is central to the school's mission. Each unit within the school has a strong research culture, with regular seminars, easy access to databases and an active PhD program.

Members of all the school's departments and centers often publish in the leading international journals, and many play significant roles in the academic community and policy debate. Twelve journals are currently edited within the school, and staff members are on the editorial boards of twenty-five other internationally renowned journals. Furthermore, members of the school have been particularly successful in obtaining research grants from the Economic and Social Research Council and other funding bodies, including government departments and companies.
